"Tends toward the herbal side, with thyme and bell pepper flavors, but also delivers black cherry and blackberry notes. The tannins are firm, yet this is vibrant overall and lingers nicely. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2020 through 2029. 5,000 cases made, 800 cases imported."

"The highly drinkable 2017 Pour Ma Gueule mixes grapes from Maule and Itata, and in 2017, it's mostly Cinsault, with 9% País and 4% Syrah, which I think contributes to its drinkability. The nose is fantastic, expressive and floral and the palate fresh and vibrant, with contained alcohol and a nice mouthfeel. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2018."

"Very expressive, this unfurls with mouthwatering licorice snap, fruitcake, apple wood and violet notes, which are quickly followed by a wave of mouthfilling plum, blackberry and fig paste flavors. This is packed but well-defined, and the energy allows the fruit to ripple through the long finish. Built for the long haul, with distinctly dry cut at the end. Best from 2035 through 2055. 3,000 cases made."

"Giving up jammy notes of black raspberries, licorice, smoked herbs and chocolate, the 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Chimeres (aged in demi-muid and concrete vates) needs to be snatched up by savvy readers. Full-bodied, deep and layered with incredible texture, I actually called this a mini SQN. I would gladly pay three to four times the going rate. Bravo!"

"A charming style, with pretty dried cherry, bergamot and warm fruit cake flavors forming an expressive and inviting core. On the sweeter side of the spectrum, but with the freshness for balance. Drink now"

"Very enticing aromas of violet, blueberry and sandalwood follow through to a full body, with medium sweetness, ultrarefined tannins and a very long finish. This just coats the mouth with fabulous fruit and supersilky tannins. Chewy, yet friendly and harmonious. So fine. Best after 2017. 2,200 cases made."
