"The 2014 Treana Cabernet Sauvignon has a ruby black core with a ruby rim. Aromas of deep black fruits like boysenberry and blackberry, along with red fruit notes of pomegranate and red currant are complemented with mulling spices, star anise, clove and sweet vanilla. On the palate, intense ripe fruit notes of black currant, blackberry, red cherry along with notes of tobacco leaf, roasted coffee, cocoa powder lead to a long oak-driven finish. Tannins are velvety and plush while the acidity makes the fruit vibrant, but well integrated."

" Buttery vanilla, cherry and plum notes give this wine a plush backdrop of fruit and rich, round texture. With small percentages of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, it reveals additional cedar and graphite components before unleashing a lasting chocolate flavor on the finish."

"Offers mineral-infused red fruit and savory spice flavors that are structured and well-focused, accented by plenty of green olive notes. A latent creaminess extends onto the lively finish. Drink now through 2017. 11,100 cases made."

"The Daou brothers have become increasingly known for their rich, unctuous and lavish high-end wines, but this bottling offers a taste of that opulence for just $30. Plump blueberry and soft, cedar-like spice scents show on the nose, while the palate bursts with black cherry, dark chocolate and caramel flavors, powered by ample acidity. It will age gracefully, but is already delicious."

"This is a brilliant wine from Hobbs. There is a little Merlot and Cabernet Franc in the blend, but it reflects this great vintage, revealing blueberry, blackberry and cassis as well as some licorice, incense, and forest floor. The wine has full-bodied opulence, a sumptuous mouthfeel, and is just a terrific, savory, expansive Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well for 15 or more years."

"Brilliant purity, a dense purple color, superb blackberry and floral-infused blueberry fruit and cassis, a full-bodied mouthfeel, moderate but sweet tannin and a long, layered, texture and finish make for a profound Cabernet Sauvignon that actually sells at a bargain price for what is in the bottle. Moreover, look for it to evolve graciously for another 20+ years."

"This is a big, full-bodied, boisterous Cabernet Sauvignon that has a dense ruby/purple color, notes of underbrush, forest floor, tobacco leaf and oodles of blackcurrants and black cherries, with a touch of woodsmoke. The full-bodied wine hits the palate with a cascade of glycerin, fruit and purity. This is a beauty - dense, rich, and structured, but capable of lasting 20 or more years."

"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Jackson Estate Series is a small cuvée of 7,000 cases and a really impressive wine. The mountain vineyards seem to dominate the wine’s character, with moderately high but sweet tannin, briary blackberry and cassis fruit, and a crushed rock minerality present."
