"Dense, yet lively and focused, revealing black cherry, plum, spice and licorice flavors. Balanced and long, but needs time for all the components to emerge. Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera. Best from 2017 through 2028. 1,745 cases made."

" Flavorful but also gentle on the palate, despite the brand name, this is a lushly textured, full-bodied wine that lifts beautiful blueberry and blackberry flavors on fine-grained tannins. It has lightly spicy aromas, a mouthfilling viscosity and long finish. Best Buy."

"This vintage has a gorgeous, concentrated assemblage of aromas of stone fruits, crushed blue herbs, violets, cherry, anise, and a touch of honeysuckle. On the palate is pure richness from the old-vine Zinfandel with loads of super-ripe blackberry, pepper spice, and an enveloping masculinity of char and tannins from the Syrah, Charbono and Petite Sirah. A seamless balance and mouth coating deliciousness are found throughout the palate, with an extra long finish with a touch of barrel tannin at the end. 2015 Scout’s Honor is certainly a generous mouthful of red wine that we recommend be opened and enjoyed immediately upon release. Cellared correctly it will age for 5 to 8 years."

"A blend of grapes from North Canyon and Fiddlestix vineyards, this bottling shows hickory smoke, cherry pie and floral aromas on the nose. The palate offers tart blackberry, cranberry, clove and vanilla flavors, with a smoky, roasted pork touch."

"It's a mini-Rhône blend of Garnacha with some 15% Syrah from old vines matured exclusively in concrete. The nose is like Garnacha cotton candy with red fruit and a touch of smoked meat. The tannins are soft and the texture is silky, ending with a very tasty note. "

"This has good depth for the vintage, with a slightly beefy feel to the blackberry and black currant notes, showing singed bay leaf and a good tug of dark earth at the end. Best from 2017 through 2024. 8,000 cases made."

" A notch better than the last two very good vintages, this full-bodied wine has an especially dark color and very concentrated berry flavors that make it almost irresistible. Flavors like blackberry jam and crème de cassis follow opulent dark-chocolate and ripe plum aromas. Editors’ Choice."

"1,000 Stories Bourbon barrel-aged Zinfandel is a harmonious balance of Zinfandel grapes from Mendocino and Sonoma counties which is bursting with aromatic red fruit scents and complex black fruit flavors. A touch of Petite Sirah and Syrah enhance those flavors even more with bold black and white pepper spices. The batch is then rounded out with a layer of smokiness derived from the new bourbon barrel aging."

"Ripe, full and plummy, this Rhône-style wine is velvety in texture, very smooth but also backed by subtle tannins. The rich ripe fruit flavors seem to melt together with chocolate and vanilla notes that keep going on the finish. Its blended from Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre and Grenache."
