"Barrel aromas are at the fore, with notes of vanilla, cocoa and milk chocolate out in front of blackberry and black cherry. The palate also mixes fruit and barrel, showing pleasing depth of flavors and intensity along with a silky texture."

"Always one of the more compelling bottlings for the price each year, this vintage shows deep plum, black cherry and vanilla on the welcoming nose. The mouthfeel is impressively thick and the firm texture quite gravelly, carrying flavors of black fruit, roast beef and black pepper. "

"A ripe, rich and full-bodied red, with powerful flavors of dark cherry, plum pudding and currant that feature a lush creaminess. Firm and savory midpalate, ending with a long and refined finish that shows mineral and cocoa butter accents, supported by dusty tannins. Drink now through 2024. 7,850 cases made."

"The top of the range is the 2013 Fabre Montmayou Grand Vin, which is a blend of mostly Malbec from Vistalba, with a little 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from the old vines around the winery, their oldest vineyard. This is a classical Bordeaux blend with superb balance and elegance, with very good acidity and some spicy oak from 16 months in French oak barrels. The palate is medium to full-bodied with fine-grained tannins. This is ready now but has great concentration, freshness and balance for a slow and positive development in bottle."

"This riveting wine displays the exceptional finesse and precision that fruit from this AVA can deliver. It's Pinot Noir expressed in the most subtle and demanding way. Beautifully orchestrated red fruits, sappy acids, lush spices, perfect balance and an immaculate mineral-soaked finish are all on display. Drink 2018 through 2030."

"Medium-bodied and stylish, with fine-grained tannins married to a rich palate of chocolate pudding, crème de cassis, dried marjoram and graphite notes. Lightly grippy, but refined overall. Nero d'Avola. Drink now through 2023. 5,000 cases made."

Lower price might be available! Please call -->"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc) represents the least expensive wine in the Hall portfolio at $55. The color is a saturated purple, and the wine rich, chewy and unctuously textured, with ripe tannin and a round, juicy mouthfeel. For a generic Napa, it has plenty of upside to it and will actually benefit from several more years of bottle age and keep for 15-20 years."

"This ripe, generous wine is full of the bold red fruits of this fine vintage. It also has structure, spicy wood flavors and a rich, full character. With its juicy acidity in the background and its impressive density, the wine is going to age a little longer."
