"This might be one of the best values on the market, given the quality. Equal parts pretty and funky, it's a tightly wound, savory, fruity wine that's elegant and compelling. The tannins and oak are lightly imprinted around strawberry-rhubarb and fresh-cut rose, and the texture seductively silky. This is a delicious treat of a wine that should also age."

" This well-made wine, blended with small percentages of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot, is an astounding value. Currant and cranberry notes and an underbelly of tannins play together in a smooth texture of rich concentration."

"Bright golden-tinged yellow. The amazingly floral nose is very Pfersigberg (roses, lavender, lemon verbena) but also offers more common nuances of lychee, orange oil, tangerine liqueur and smoke. Then rich and round with ripe mango, cinnamon and clove flavors that last. The finish is juicy and tactile. Made from grapes grown in the heart of the Pfersigberg grand cru, in the Pfirstigberg lieu-dit. I was blown away by this highly perfumed, precise wine, which is nothing like the majority of rather disappointing Gewürzes from 2014, when Drosophila wreaked havoc on red-berried varieties. The back label states medium-sweet, but this has lively acidity so it comes across as just off-dry. "

"Scented notes of Golden Pearmain apple fill the nose. The palate follows in the same mellow vein while the creamy mousse accents the richness with pure lemon freshness. Shortcrust and biscuit flavours act as an aromatic backdrop. What a rounded, fresh and superbly balanced Crémant! Savor it long after the last sip has gone."

"This is a brilliant wine from Hobbs. There is a little Merlot and Cabernet Franc in the blend, but it reflects this great vintage, revealing blueberry, blackberry and cassis as well as some licorice, incense, and forest floor. The wine has full-bodied opulence, a sumptuous mouthfeel, and is just a terrific, savory, expansive Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well for 15 or more years."

"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Jackson Estate Series is a small cuvée of 7,000 cases and a really impressive wine. The mountain vineyards seem to dominate the wine’s character, with moderately high but sweet tannin, briary blackberry and cassis fruit, and a crushed rock minerality present."

"This is round and laced with cherry, currant, tobacco and iron flavors. Firms up quickly, with a fine matrix of tannins for support. Balanced overall, with a long finish of tobacco and iron. Best from 2020 through 2033. 12,500 cases made."

"Deep ruby. Intense red fruit and floral pastille scents are complicated by suggestions of smoky minerals, garrigue and potpourri. Penetrating and appealingly sweet, offering juicy raspberry and lavender pastille flavors that put on weight and become spicier with air. Closes smooth, sappy and impressively long, featuring harmonious tannins and resonating florality. This is shaping up to be the best wine I've ever had from this estate."

"Effusively juicy, rich and concentrated, showing plenty of snap to the crisp and well-spiced flavors of wild berry, dark currant and plum tart. Orange-infused chocolate notes linger on the exotic, mocha-filled finish. Best from 2020 through 2045. 5,000 cases made."
